On Thursday, 28th of September, as part of the Facework Ukraine training programme, we delved into mastering negotiation skills.
After our engaging Small Talk sessions, it was time to explore the art of negotiation. Negotiation - is a skill that helps you achieve what you need. So, in that session of our 12-week Facework Ukraine training program we focused on improving ability to communicate effectively in the business world.
In everyday work, you'll find yourself negotiating a lot. There are various situations in the workplace you might need to negotiate. It could be when you're getting hired and discussing your salary. Or later on, when you want things like a raise or time off. You might also want to change how you collaborate with colleagues to make things better. Negotiation can help with that too!
Under the guidance of Zoryana Burmas, an ESOL Lecturer and Employability Coach, we learned how to start and finish negotiations, along with mastering essential phrases. In our Employability Training, she has equipped you with the tools and phrases that can significantly enhance your English negotiation skills:
Mastering the art of initiating and concluding negotiations.
Learning effective strategies for seeking clarification, rephrasing, and confirming understanding.
Discovering useful negotiation phrases that can give you the upper hand.
