LinkedIn tips that actually work

Updated: 7 days ago

What could be more inspiring for a job seeker than hearing from someone who just landed a new role in a global company — through LinkedIn itself?

That’s why was the perfect speaker to explain how to build a LinkedIn profile that truly works for you and helps you find a meaningful job you love.

We dived into the digital side of professional networking — learning how to build a LinkedIn profile that truly represents who we are and opens doors to new opportunities in the UK.

Together we discovered that LinkedIn isn’t just another social media — it’s your online business card, portfolio, and professional voice all in one.

Here’s what we explored:

🔹 How to write a headline that instantly tells your story and attracts the right people

🔹 What makes the “About” section authentic (hint: not perfection, but personality!)

🔹 How to show your achievements with short, clear bullet points recruiters actually read

🔹 How AI tools like ChatGPT or Copilot can assist — not replace — your own voice

🔹 The difference between social posting and professional storytelling

Participants practiced introducing themselves, describing their key skills, and refining their “About” text — and many said they finally started to enjoy talking about their achievements!

We also talked about networking as an act of connection, not self-promotion.Each comment, post, or “like” can be a small seed of collaboration.

As one participant nicely put it:

“AI can help you find the words, but only you can give them meaning.”
