RESET
A GOLDSMITH UNIVERSITY ACCREDITED PROGRAMME
RESET is an innovative and radical new delivery model being delivered by Facework for supporting sanctuary seekers into work.
It is based on the simple principle that those with lived-experience of migration who are already settled in the UK are ideally placed to support those recently arrived to find good quality work opportunities and integrate into local communities.
We believe the programme can be strategically deployed by Local Authorities across London. We have proved this model is effective through our award-winning Facework programmes with Ukraine, Afghan and Syrian refugees, managed by those who have come from these communities.
Once RESET participants are recruited, trained and accredited, they can in turn work with Local Authority teams to reach potentially hundreds of other refugees to understand the UK work culture, support refugees in finding creative paths to employment and co-design community based employability training programmes.
ACCREDITED
Level 3 Goldsmith Accreditation through OpenBook. Participants are trained and accredited by Goldsmiths University. They can in turn work with Local Authority jobs teams to reach potentially hundreds of other refugees.
ENDORSED
The RESET programme has been endorsed and funded by the Greater London Authority. It seeks to promote innovative people-centred approaches to tackling many of the challenges of unemployment in London.
DELIVERY
Facework Group has been tasked to train and equip other LA sanctuary seekers to replicate, manage and deliver Facework's existing employability programmes. Each RESET programme is 3 months in duration.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for Local Authority partners to sponsor and join Facework’s RESET train the trainer programme.
We are accepting only three London Authorities into each 10-week RESET programme to ensure quality delivery.
Each LA can nominate upto four candidates to apply to RESET.
